Why can anyone answer me is the U-21 final between Westmeath and Dublin in Dublins home venue of Parnell park? Is this the GAA giving Dublin an unfair advantage of a home crowd? Surely Navan or Newbridge would have been more sensible. southsider (Westmeath) - Posts: 132 - 18/03/2010 13:38:49 591282 Link 0 |

All matches are played in home ground of team that's drawn first. Unfortunate perhaps but true. Has tended to work against Dublin in recent year so they're just getting their turn. You have a point about nuetral venues all the same in the light of what happened in Carlow! hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 18/03/2010 13:45:17 591300 Link 0 |

The Connacht U-21 Final between Roscommon and Sligo is in Sligo.I think it is just the way with Minor and U-21(and senior in some cases) competitions that they alternate venues of the competing counties from year to year. fredrickwood (Roscommon) - Posts: 2871 - 18/03/2010 13:52:59 591323 Link 0 |
