How did cork lose this game , tyrone showed great spirt coming back from the dead in this match, cork were afraid of beating a big team like tyrone.

I don't think you can say Cork bottled it. It was a freakish result. After the 2-goals before the break Cork again scored 5 without reply. That Tyrone managed to get another goal to win the game was not as a result of Cork wilting in any way. We are glad of the result but would not be happy with the overall performance. Scores Cork 16 Tyrone 12 tells its own story.

Luck did play its part, but at the same time we created the three goal chances. Yes, two of them where very scrappy but we still had the initial goal chance saved, which meant we were creating goal scoring opportunities.

On the Tyrone message board someone commented that we were outscored 16 times to 12 by cork, which again is true. However, at least 5-6 of corks scores where taken we we kicked the ball out straight into the hands of corks half forwards. Leaving very simple scoring opportunities.

Furthermore, we made some very bad mistakes and passes. If we'd of cut these out we would have had an even better night. And if we cut them out in the games to come we could get on ok against Galway, Kerry and Dublin.

Didn't Cork beat Tyrone in a far more significant championship match last year? Where was their fear of beating a big team then?

Tyrone got their act together and also enjoyed some luck. Both these teams will have a huge say come summer time. I would say Cork are probably narrow AI favourites at this stage in March.

While we have our hoodoo county in Kerry in Croke park, Kerry's hoodoo county is quite definetly Tyrone in the Championship. If ye come away with a win in Omagh sat week then you might have something to talk about.

What are u on about u stupid Kerry man. Just trying to get at the Cork people. We didnt bottle it at all. Gouldings miss turned the game in Tyrones favour cause they scored straight after it. Tyrone needed the points and they fought hard for them. I would rather lose anyday to Tyrone cause at least they talk crap like u Kerry boys. Until u beat Tyrone in the championship like we did then your a failure. I see Tyrone as the team to aspire to and not Kerry. Well done Tyrone on your win. Hope we meet you in the all ireland final in september and we will enjoy the day again.
