My personal opinion would favour the King Puck hurls of Limerick as they have a wonderful strike, great balance and can be quite light. A good Lash Go Leor is hard to come by as they are made in such bulk but when one does come a knocking they can be quite excellent. shnappy (Wexford) - Posts: 220 - 10/03/2010 18:23:39 584516 Link 0 |
tbh any hurl is grand for me just not too heavy.....lash go leor's are grand with me..i dont hav a preference......god it just goes to show how few hurlers survive on this forum(no replies):) gaamad1996 (Wexford) - Posts: 439 - 13/03/2010 16:56:16 587250 Link 0 |
dont like lash go leor at all, brian walsh makes lovely sticks and has a great service etc but albert randall is miles ahead in my opinion, never got anythin other than excellent sticks off him. amber21 (Wexford) - Posts: 22 - 14/03/2010 19:39:11 587837 Link 0 |

your dead right there pinkie, for all the fuss over this hurl and that, when it comes down to it in the thick of the action ya could be swinging a plank and wouldnt notice!! amber21 (Wexford) - Posts: 22 - 16/03/2010 21:57:52 590216 Link 0 |
I use Brian Walsh hurls. I prefer them over the other local hurls because you have a great pick, they're all great and the bas of the hurl is alot bigger than the other Wexford ones. The.Hurler (Wexford) - Posts: 5 - 24/07/2011 15:36:40 993450 Link 0 |
Paul Maher makes exquisite hurleys lads !! shnappy (Wexford) - Posts: 220 - 24/07/2011 19:47:43 993708 Link 0 |
Brian Walsh makes pure rubbish (that is if he makes them at all which i suspect he doesn't). Albert Randall is miles ahead of the rest. If a nice hurl was sent in to be repaired to Brian Walsh he would remove all of the makers stamp and replace it with his own stamp so that when somebody looks at this nice hurl they think that it is actually one of Brians rather than the actual makers. 890202 (Wexford) - Posts: 1278 - 25/07/2011 10:57:27 994093 Link 0 |

Best hurls I have had were when I went into John Codd and got him to make replicas of the hurls I had. Gorgeous sticks. Don't know bout the hurls he makes for bags, but sure who'd hurl with anything out of a bag anyway? Would really recommend John, sound as a pound too. icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2581 - 30/07/2011 14:02:24 998718 Link 0 |
albert randall for me lads! nice man with quality hurls, only wish he'd sand them a bit before giving them to ya but thats only minor! not mad about walshs, i find they break alot easier than other hurls.never used lash go leor so cant comment. cragask (Wexford) - Posts: 892 - 31/07/2011 09:59:26 999171 Link 0 |
Brian Walsh hurls for me are the best no one in the country can come close to his hurls and repairs. randall are good but no choice from him you take wat u get handed. lash go loer well to get a nice one you have to search hard i think being made in big quantities bulk rather than quality and trying to get players to sign contracts to use their hurls is a bit sad i was part of the wex panal 2 years ago when lash go loer wanted all players to sign there contract that u could only be seen with lash go leor hurls emmmm. not many took up the offer. greeny (Wexford) - Posts: 4 - 10/08/2011 16:46:45 1008441 Link 0 |

I got a business card awhile ago of "Crotty Hurleys & Repairs" He is based in Naas Co. Kildare. Brilliant for repairs and he will make any style hurl you want. Buckwild (Wexford) - Posts: 18 - 18/11/2011 10:28:45 1071229 Link 0 |
