Common sense prevails

(Oldest Posts First)

It seems things are back to normal with the Kildalkey boys all coming back to play for Ballivor... common sense has prevailed.... as soon as ladbrookes opens im putting a tenner down on Ballivor for Junior Championship 2010...

So true they are back together. Juvenile setup has joined as well gives Kildalkey more time to consentrate on what we are good at the small ball. Ya should chance a bit more than a tenner on Ballivor to win junior championship.

And we will wait to see the hurlers living in Ballivor coming to play with Kildalkey too.

That is going to happen (hopefully) it can only be good for both clubs. Heres hoping for many years of success for both clubs.

Cill_Dealga im afraid u will be waiting u cannot mess with tradition since for the lastt 100 years killyon killdalkey and ballivor have always been devided ballivor was always the football team and the 2 others concentrated on hurling... it is an unusual situation given that both hurling teams are 4 miles either side of Ballivor. Killdalkey seem to think not only have they the right to take the footballers away from Ballivor but now the young hurlers who family tradition will tell you will go play for Killyon... If Killdalkey want young players to go play hurling with them then u better think of a way of getting them to join you first and not Killyon leave Ballivor out of it... you cannot have your cake and eat it setting up rules and boundaries on who Ballivor people play Hurling with will only do more harm than good. Kildalkey almost ruined Ballivor Football by taking away Killyons right to Ballivor people playing for them will only bring down Killyon aswell.

Do kildalkey think that they are wanted back. No one has asked them back. Balivor have rebuilt and reached the 1/4 finals
of the junior with a fresh young team and are moving along nicely.

It suits kildalkey to come back now cause football was a disaster down there. They have no one to look after the underage teams and
now want Ballivor club to look after them again.

After all the fuss and abuse the balliavr club got n the papers for not signing just 1 of 20 transfers and this because the palyer didn't even want to
go to kilkdalkey.

Kilkdalkey lads jumped off a sinking ship and let it sink. But guess what the ship is patched up now and is floating and sailing along just dandy.

Well boggerexile you seem to know no facts what so ever about Ballivor/kildalkey link up. You should start commenting about things you knowledge of. We have no shortage of mentors in kildalkey and that will be seen next year. Happy xmas

Lads its great that Kildalkey have given up the ghost of playing football, but believe me there's still a lot of work to be done before Ballivor will be winning a Junior championship. That's not meant as a an insult to Ballivor but more a compliment to the standard of Junior football in Meath.Anyway best of luck to Ballivor in the coming year, I for one will be cheering if you do manage to claim the junior.

ballivor were mad trying to get kildalkey boys back not just this yr but last yr as well. So people saying on the forum that ballivor didnt want them is rubbish. it worked both ways they wanted us and we wanted to go back . simple as . most of kildalkey wanted to keep football up but it just wasnt realistic withe numbers we had
