In a fundraiser for his local club Michael Hannon who plays for Cavan won a race against greyhound. Is it just me or when watching him on the field he doesn't look to have great pace?

That's nothing, remember Setanta who played for Cork? He killed an angry irish wolfhound once by driving a Cummins sliotar down his throat. Legend. This was before he went to Oz and ate the mackerel of knowledge.

Baron

____

might be a bit of trickery at play. If the odds are good for the dog on the rematch it might be worth a punt

This is nothing new, David Beggy beat a greyhound in Shelbourne Park in the early 90's and Colm O'Rourke done it at the old Navan Greyhound Track in the 90's as well both for charity. Whereas you would expect Beggy to beat the sallytail O'Rourke wasn't blessed with the greatest pace in his later years but still managed it.
