I want to ask the question would horeswood win county titles without the 5 players they got from outside horeswood?

For the record they are (1) Niall Collins (Ger O Hanrahans); (2) Steven Collins (Gers O Hanrahans); (3) Gary Conway (Ger O Hanrahans); (4) Paddy Murphy (Shelmaliers) and (5) Emmet Doherty (Butlerstown, Waterford)

But by the way, Naill Collins played underage for Horeswood, Stevie Collins played U10's for Horeswood. Emmet Docherty moved into the parish from Waterford, Gary Conway's whole family moved to the parish from Ross, to Slaibth Coilte. I know Kevin Kehoe tried to get Gary Conway to join Gusserane but Gary father wouldn't let him because he didn't live in the parish. That and the incident with Kevin and Gary's father. Paddy Murphy moved from Castlebridge area when he was 14, and has played soccer for campile since then, and only left shelmaliers after he was finished U21's because he was sick of the traveling for training. But as far as I am aware Horeswood have broken no rules.

Maybe you should change the headin to "is Horeswood the nicest Parish to move to".

On another note there was no mention of Castletown in your foreword.....or kilanerin who got 3 players from gorey this year, or St Anne's who have a wingforward from Lietrim. Didn't bockie Doyle move to waterford a couple of years back so he could get a transfer to Gusserane, but it never happened in the end. Looks like to me some has a little chip on there shoulder......................everybody awe.

This has to be a wind up thread. Most clubs now have players from outside the parish. The annes on sunday will have Niall Gilbane from Leitrim. Kilanerin have Brian Dignam from Tipp and Niall Kennedy and Mick Molloy from gorey. Shels gained Garrett Dunne from Fethard. Castletown gained Jesse Foley from Fethard. The list is endless.

Well NAMA they already won it in 2005 without Murphy, Doherty & Conway. And as mentioned the Collins are Horeswood born and bred.

if these players have such close links with horeswood parish why didn't they play with them in the first place.

These players all moved within 30 mins or less from their own clubs, so travelling could not be an issue. loyality could though. They all could easily have stayed with their own clubs. There are many players thoughtout the county living in other parishes and they travel and don't transfer.

Nice to get mainly horeswood responses.

Dadabull. Stop licking up to the horeswood boys. Maybe you are going to make the short journey from your parish to join up and play with them next year! Have they asked you?

I didn't ask you to comment on the suitability of this thread.

I'd say you are not up at the front of the sprints in Gusserane training. At least players will go to and transfer to horeswood!

And by the way i think horeswood will win on sunday.

NAMA, stop taking things so personally! You only amassed 5 posts as i write this and 4 are on this topic. Every club loses and gains players for different reasons and thats just part of GAA. Congrats to horeswood and st annes on an excellent final. To dadabull. I'm not from gusserane. My comment in relation to 'not being at the front of the sprints' was suggesting that you are a bit slow (brainwise). I didn't realise that you took it literally. What I mean is i didn't realise you were physically slow as well. Sorry about that! I am signing off now and apologies to the players who transfered into horeswood. Only debating the issue.
