Whats the future like for Fermanagh??

(Oldest Posts First)

Does any one ever think what the next 10 years could hold for fermanagh??

You have lots of players coming through but are they up to the standard??

There are many young minors/U-21s playing senior club

Ryan Jones, Chris and Joe O'Brien, Paul Mullen, Thomas Corrigan, Johnny Feeley and Richard O'Callaghan.

Lets look at the Minor Championship final...In ten years time were will they be?? The pick of both teams having ben at the final, correct me if Im wrong was

1. Ciaran Leonard (enniskillen)
2. James Stewart (belcoo)
3. Michael Leonard (belcoo)
4. Rico Ledwith (enniskillen)
5. C.McAleer (enniskllen)
6. Eoin Leonard (belcoo)
7. NickyDunbarr (enniskillen)
8. Paddy Burns (belcoo)
9. Richard O'Callaghan (wasnt really himself in this game)
10. Niall Cullan (belcoo)
11. Johnny Feeley (belcoo)
12. Paul Mullen (was played at corner back but we all know if played out the field it would've made a huge diference)
13. Philip Leonard (belcoo)
14. Eunan Mulally (Belcoo)
15. Gary Donegan (enniskillen)

Could any of this 15 play Fermanagh Senior football???

No that isnt the pick of the teams! for a start young sweeney would be in goals, pulled off great stops particularly in drawn game! A bright future ahead of him, he'll be county minor standard this year for sure maybe even mcrory?

Cant see many players in that list that will play senior county fotball Feeley would be good if he would learn to pass the ball at the right time. Sean Quigley of roslea is another bright young player even tho he didnt play well at all in the minor championship for fermanagh this year.

quigleys good starts for roslea seniors now. works very well with his brother. scored 2-02 against belcoo and usually gets a score or 2 for roslea in most matches

yes i think we have a few players coming through but have they quality to play county football? i watched st.michaels, county minors u21 and minor club games and these are the players i have chosen!

ryan jones- derrygonnelly- was good for st.michaels and u21 and is playing good stuff for derrygonnelly and possible call up to county next year?

thomas corrigan-kinaley- st.micks captain, played well 4 them and u21 and doing well for kinaley but thats in div 2, another couple of years before a call up to county.

martin quigly-belnaleck- played very well for st.micks and is a very good tight defender but will slip through the net if he remains at belnaleck because junior football not going to bring him on . . very sad because this lad has great potential.

johnathan feely-belcoo- played well for st.micks and county minors, is he playing for belcoo seniors? still very young, minors next year?

sean quigly-roslea- a good player who played for the minors, brother of seamus i think?

anyone agree? disagree?

shamsout probly spot on bout the players you mentioned think feeley is still minor next year aswel. he comes on as sub in most games for belcoo seniors i hear. sean quigley is seamus quigleys brother and starts every match for roslea and usually scores.
