Watch GAA overseas

(Oldest Posts First)

Howdy folks.......I'm gonna be in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam for the big match on Sunday and wondered how I might get to watch the game over the internet, or find a bar that might show it.....anyone any ideas????? I've tried the Setanta site but it only seems to list venues for the match in the US. I've been googling away like mad but with no luck so far.........help!!!!!!!

Funny lookin at your message. Im in Ho Chi Min City at the moment and created the post "Watchin GAA matches live on the internet" yesterday. If no-one comes back with a bar then some of the suggestions there might be worth looking at. AS far as i know there's a sheridans irish bar. Not sure if its showing matches. Wouldnt mind seein the armagh match either!

Hey meathgaa......I called up to Sheridan's last night but they don't show any matches. Looks like its gonna be the internet then!!!! I had a quick look at myp2p.eu.....cheers Alvin.....seems there might be a chance with it but if not I'll just have to go for the radio. Thanks for your help.

Ard mhaca,

I know that the fermanagh-down game was streamed on justin-tv and that they said that they would show any of the other games if they could (they were streaming off BBC - so might only work for the Ulster championship). Generally the links are available half an hour before the start of the game.
Hope this helps and C'mon Armagh!

Hi ard mhaca - I looked on Setanta. I have watched them over broadband, but I don't see a link for where you are located. Sometimes justin.tv has the matches but I stopped going there because there were some viruses attempting to download from that site. Sometimes TG4 has a match but I don"t see it listed in their schedule. If BBC or RTE do not work for you, perhaps Radio Kerry or Shannonside may help. Good luck!

Cheers for all the feedback everyone......I'm logged onto the game at the minute just before it starts through www.myp2p.eu - within the site I have gone to live sports, then other sports, then the match was listed there. There were a couple of options to link into the game from here and the Sportstime link seems to be working for me so far. Hope this helps someone else out for further games.

Ard Mhaca while your in Ho Chi Minh city make sure you go and visit "the man himself". U swear he only died yesterday and not in the 70's!

After losing against Tyrone I wouldn't advise you going to see the war museum. That place could seriously drive you over the edge after the game!!
