In my lifetime, Tohill & Henry Downey were miles ahead of the rest.

Great post there Tom - really witty. Those jokes are usually reserved for 14 year olds from Tyrone trying to get things going.
Anyway Jim McKeever has to be up there

Thats either a really sad joke Tom, or else your genuinely made a mistake...you don't have to continue posting you know. Nobody laughed.

No Niamh it was a genuine mistake just like the one you made above. I genuinly though McGuckin was from Coalisland in Co Tyrone as I know his brother Patrick and I was in the family home before just outside Coalisland. Maybe I was just mistaken.

TOm1916,
I would doubt that them McGuckin lads would associate themselves with yourself. They are decent fellas !!!!!

For me it has to be Anthony Tohill. Have heard Jim McKeever was a special player way back when though.

1. Anthony Tohill
2. Tony Scullion
3. Joe Brolly
4. Brian McGilligan
5. Paddy Bradley
6. Enda Muldoon

Jim McKeever may well have been the best but have never seen him play so cannot make a judgement. Thread should have been more like "who is the best in the last x years." I am making my judgements by the fear factor that these players created in opposition fans. Tohill always felt like the player that could do greatest damage to Tyrone whenever they met.

Too difficult to name only one player. Each decade had great players. In no particular order the following can not go unmentioned:
Anthony Tohill, Henry Downey, Tony Scullion, Kieran McKeever,Brian McGilligan,Joe Brolly,Fergal Doherty, Enda Muldoon,Paddy Bradley.
