I think the leitrim team from what i hear is Martin Mc Gowans favourites. Some of the guys on the new panel are just not good enough. And some of the guys left out are the future way to go....... Shane canning is passed it in my opinion he was really poor this year for Mohill. Seen him in 3 games and he was the worst player on the pitch. Why is Ronan Gallagher not on the panel. I also seen Melvin Gaels a few times and they have some really good players not in there... I hope the tail is not going to wag the dog at the top table.

Leggit - Give the current panel a chance before we start knocking the new management/selector. Martin Mc Gowan is there to do his best, as is everyone involved. Its a bit early i think to start sharpening knives !!!
Shane Canning deserves his chance, as under the right people he could finally fulfill his undoubted potential. Sure he had a poor year for Mohill, but he certainly wasnt alone there, as they never even got competative this year.

Can we give this team a negative rating like -10? Its terrible! Where do we start? OK I think that we must look beyond Enda Lyons and Noel Gill for goalkeeper. Judging by this years championship I would choose Gary Loughlin. Fullback line is good although if Dermot Reynolds is not retiring he would be in instead of Gary Reynolds who would move to the wing. Jonathon Cassidy could be another option here. You lost the plot with your half backs. Shane Foley in definitely at Nr 7, Gary Reynolds at Nr 5 and a toss up between Barry McWeeney and Fabian McMorrow for centre back. I think if McMorrow got his chance he would make this position his own. Other half backs with a chance would be Ciaran Kennedy & Shane Loughlin In midfield you have got to have Gary McCloskey & Michael Duignan. You are obviosly an Augnasheelin man as everybody else would struggle to include 1 Augnasheelin player. Dont forget that this team got relegated to division 2 this year.I dont agree with any of your half forward line. In fact the only one of these i would have on the panel is Mulvey. I would go with a half forward line of Colin Regan (assuming he is not retiring), Emylin Mulligan & Dara McKiernan. Subs for this line could include Ciaran Duignan, David McSharry & Philip Howard. Your full forward line has the right man at the edge of the square in Declan Maxwell. However in the corners I would go with James Glancy & David O'Connor. Subs for this line would include Adrian Croal, Declan Gillholey & Ray Mulvey. Trust me you will NEVER see 4 Augnasheelin players even on the panel.

I agree Cullen is a great club player but he gave up the county when he was 28 or 29 so he's hardly going to come back now. I'm surpised that no one is mentioning Adrian O Flynn. i think he's been the player of the year at club level from what I have seen from him. I would have him in the half back line for Leitrim ahead of Prior or McWeeney. I'm also doubtful that Canning will make the team, he's past his best I think.
