Fermanagh senior hurlers continue to dominate the National Hurling League-Division 3B, when on Sunday last they sportingly put their western neighbours Leitrim, to the sword ,with a massive score of 6 goals 7 points to a very modest 2 goals 6 points for Leitrim. They latter side opened this match as if they were going make a sporting 'go' of this game, but their feeble attack quickly broke down under intense defender counter attacks. Pretty soon they Erneside visitors were competing, with a truly weakened side, and then began in full earnest to attack their hosts defence, with a series of profitable attacks, which saw they unretlenss Fermanagh side fire over nine unanswered points in this games opening quartered. Score rapidly came from Ryan Bogue (5 pts), Sean Corrigan (2 pts) and J.P. McGarry (2 pts). Then to copper fasten Fermanagh's scoring grip on the game late replacement Shea Curran blasted home the first of his triple major scores to emphasises his side unquestionably scoring superioty. Finally on the first half's Leitrim's Clement Cunniffe popped over his and his side's first point. With most of the games' second quarter to be played, the Fermanagh attack rebegun their offensive on their hosts' goals. It immediately reaped a point apiece from Ryan Bogue, Sean Corrigan and J.P. McGarry. Further sustained and relenting Erneside pressure saw their ace right full forward Sean Corrigan bang home his side's second goal from play. Within minutes they now avidly watching spectators witnessed the third goal of the match, not from a fight back by the hapless Leitrim side, but now fully romping Fermanagh outfits' Shea Curran, with his second and his sides' third goal from play. A now full settled Erneside team now encouraged defender participation in their successful attacks, with their left full back Eoin Mahon racing up field to register his sole and his side's twelfth point from play. Meanwhile they latter's colleague and left corner forward Andrew Breslin, with Fermanagh's thirteenth point from began his afternoon of minor scoring. With less five minutes to the game's interval, they Ernesiders ace mid field Ryan Bogue scorer converted a previously awarded free, which he then blasted home from play. They same player now added they Ernesider's fourteenth point.
Momentarily they Fermanagh spectators looking up they park's score board, which read, Leitrim 1 point, Fermanagh 4 goals 14 points. Truly heart warming statistics. In act of pure bravado they embattled Leitrim tore up field, and into they heart of they Fermanagh defence, where momentarily they wrecked scoring havoc, resulting in they Ernesiders defence carelessly conceding a first of two goals by Kevin McGrath from a free. Within minutes to the end of these games' half Clement Cunniffe and Ryan Bogue swopped points for their respective sides.
