DIT GAA club who have just recently announced a new sponsorship deal with First Ireland Insurance have qualified for the Higher Education Division 1 Senior Football League Final.

A 2-11 to 1-09 victory over Queens in Belfield last Thursday has set them up with the clubs second Division 1 league final in three years. DIT now face St. Marys Teacher Training College Belfast in Mayobridge in the Final this Thursday November 29th. @ 19:30.

A strong breeze influenced the game with Queens, and DIT trailed 0-6 points to 0-02 at half time. However assisted by the breeze DIT put in a strong second half performance to emerge triumphant. Dublin club players featuring for the college side so far on their march to the final included, Peter O Curry & Nicky Devereuax Ballinteer St. Johns , Conor Walsh St. Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh, Darren O Reilly Ballyboden St Endas, Ciarán Reddin St. Maurs, Harry Dawson Skerries Harps, Paul Maguire St. Judes, Conor Meaney , Ross Hazley & Shane O Connor all St. Sylvesters , Michael Gibbs, Kevin O'Brien, Colm Fahy, Michael Fitzmaurice all Naomh Mearnog and Eoin Murray St. Marys Saggart.
