Campbell heading to DRA
June 17, 2009

Donegal hurling manager Eamonn Campbell
Donegal hurling manager Eamonn Campbell is appealing his eight-week ban to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
Campbell, who was suspended for alleged verbal abuse of a match official, lost his hearing after Croke Park refused to allow his appeal to go forward on a technicality, claiming that the Donegal county board had quoted the wrong rule.
The Donegal board are unlikely to pay the EUR1,000 required for taking a case to the DRA, but Campbell's club, Setanta, have decided to foot the bill.
Setanta clubman Danny Cullen was set to represent Campbell at his appeal, but GAA rules stipulate that a member of the county board must present a case to the Central Appeals Committee. Donegal treasurer Grace Boyle ended up representing the embattled manager.
Campbell was suspended in the wake of Donegal's Ulster SHC defeat to Armagh last month.
