The new Derry senior team-manager Paddy Crozier and his management team will sit down with his recently selected 35-man panel for the first time on Wednesday night 10th November to map out his vision for Derry football football in the future. The new manager will be introducing seven new faces on the county senior panel, and also some interesting returnees to the senior set-up. Amongst those making a comeback are the highly rated Craigbane defender Fergal Crossan; Bellaghy's Paul Diamond who is rated one of the top forwards in the county; Paul Cartin from Banagher together with Ciaran Mullan and Shane McGuckin. The new faces on the panel include Bellaghy duo Joe Diver and Michael McGoldrick; Martin Donaghy of Claudy; Liam Hinphey (Dungiven); barry McGoldrick (Coleraine), Martin O'Kane from Castledawson and Joe O'Kane (Loup). Seven of the 35-man Derry panel will be lining out for their university teams in the forthcoming Dr. McKenna Cup competition which starts early in the New Year. The new boss said the county panel will be an open-ended one, and players can play themselves onto the panel. He added the door is not closed to nobody, and the management team will be monitoring players at the start of the new domestic club season. He was happy that there was a lot of talent in the current county squad, and our job over the coming months will be to introduce a few new ideas, and get them well prepared for the new season.
