4 weeks away lads...Nothing like Championship Football!!! With Promotion Secured its Time for the real Buisness to start!!! With some new players found this year (Dalton,Young,Wallace,Newman...to name a few) Hopefully we can aim for another leinster Final!!! We just have to take one game at a time and see where that brings us!! We have a decent squad of players with a mix of Experience and Youth!! Decent spine of a team with The 2 Reillys Menton,Bray,Keoghan,Newman,..D.Carroll returning from Injury and would start him at 11..Im a fan of Joe Sheridan but cant see him in the first 15!!!

Hard to argue with that selection overall, Peader is the only one I would possibly question, was disappointed with his outing in the Division 3 final, although in fairness you normally know in the first 20 mins if he is on song or not, maybe switch Reilly & Menton but overall yeah a good team to start with I reckon

your team looks like the probable selection however i think lenihan will get the nod.

Im hoping the likes of gilsenan and burke are flying fit ovet the next number of weeks and there is real competition for places.

To throw a question out there regarding defence;
Ob iously it is a weak part of the game. Is there any proof in saying that King, Kenny and Burke would be better mixed in the defence or have such players had their chance and can now only add to the team as substitutes.
I fear this will be a topic of debate if we were to ship a heavy defeat with ifs and buts.

Very hard to pick a team at the minute between players carrying injuries and the likes of Kenny, Carroll, Burke trying to get back to full fitness. King did well in the last 2 challenges, McConnell also did well for the short time he was on against Cavan. The likes of Carroll and Burke will need to get a lot of football into them if they are going to be starting in this game. Kenny could be in contention for a start. Does anyone know what the story is with Tom Walsh, saw from reports he has been playing with Walterstown, I thought he pulled out of the panel at Christmas because he was going abroad. If he is playing well and available he should be called back in.
What would people think of King centre back, with Menton FB and this would allow K Reilly to play mid-field. King has played the last 2 challenges games here and they could be looking at it as an option.

I would be 100% sure that Burke or Joe will not start v Long/Wick and that Eamon Wallace will start.

I am not so sure but dont think Farrell will start either as Newman has taken his spot and is now the free taker which was the main reason Farrell was included in 2012
