Not sure about Brian Dillon. The best O'Mahonys player against the Longford champions was Paddy Smith. ClassApart (Meath) - Posts: 1200 - 20/11/2012 20:48:10 1300648 Link 0 |
Morgan isn't good enough in my opinion.. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 21/11/2012 11:05:16 1300778 Link 0 |
I think Morgan might make a great wing back having played the earlier part of ashbournes championship at centre half... He's very fast and strong! Also extremely hard to get around tic_for_tac (Meath) - Posts: 151 - 21/11/2012 11:29:42 1300793 Link 0 |
Morgan gave a decent account of himself the league he played under O'Brien. Its picking a spot for him is the hardest, he's a victim of his own versatility. Don't forget Paddy Carr didn't think him good enough for the minor PANEL and a few Months later he starred on O'Rourke's U21 team at fullforward. Pound for pound one of the best fielders in the county, physically very strong and more two footed than Joe Sheridan, Cian Ward, Alan Forde and Paddy Gilsenan. That's not to say that he's a better footballer than these lads but if Coyle or O'Brien were given a chance to develop their plans/ideas for more than 2 years we wouldn't be having this discussion because we'd know for sure whether he's up to it by now as he was part of their plans. One thing for certain though I'd have him warming a seat on the bench sooner than any of his clubmates barring Menton. rath_togh (Meath) - Posts: 740 - 21/11/2012 11:48:04 1300806 Link 0 |

My god we(meath) really are desperate with some of the names being put forward, no all irelands coming our way in the forseable future. Junior_Baesht (Meath) - Posts: 69 - 26/11/2012 13:13:36 1302902 Link 0 |

There are players being promoted on this board who are nowhere near good club standard. Another point! anyone at the Navan v Longford Leinster club match would know that Navan have no defenders anywhere close to county standard (except Reilly who was not playing as far as I know). browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 27/11/2012 12:00:21 1303343 Link 0 |
