Meath and Laois---Loser could be heading to Division 3.

(Oldest Posts First)

By looking at the division 2 table its a real possibility that whoever loses our game could be heading down to division 3.
How do ye think this will go? Laois/meath games have always been close and with a possible leinster championship meeting there could be an element of shadow boxing. Whats yer thoughts?

Shadow boxing? Shouldn't think so, neither side can afford to be looking to the championhship just yet. It'll have to be a case of looking to win this game and secure Division 2 status. It's a sad state of affairs when we are talking about securing our status in Division 2, but that's where we are I suppose.

True i suppose. Not to put down tipp as they beat ye and drew with down but i was hoping everyone would beat westmeath and tipp and keep laois safe. Did not expect meath to be in our position. Hopefully the weather will be better than last years league game. Awful night.

Yeah that was a poor one alright. If I remember correctly did Laois only score from frees that night? Ore only had one scorer? Something like that, either way, it was a poor game that night. Hopefully better on Saturday tho!

I think it was both. Mj tierney from frees. Brutal night. Drove home from navan very depressed.
We've improved slightly this year it seems so should be tighter. Lot at stake for both teams. Home advantage will swing it i feel.

Ha ha, yeah he would be tired after that match... But i dont think we'll rest em, he could be our only source of scores. I'm expecting a meath backlash. They wont want to lose in navan
