Jamie Queeney at 14 without any doubt! Much more clinical than Joe there and an a great target man who wins more than his share of ball played into him! GGisGod (Meath) - Posts: 15 - 07/03/2010 21:34:10 581594 Link 0 |

Joe Sheridan, give him the right ball in and nobody will beat him with his strenght on the ball mash58 (Meath) - Posts: 73 - 08/03/2010 09:39:09 581683 Link 0 |

Joe was poor there on Saturday. It has to be Queeney. TheFlyingTeacup (Meath) - Posts: 286 - 08/03/2010 12:05:32 581843 Link 0 |

Queeney probably with Joe on the forty. Queeney and Joe seemed to have a good understanding between them. It has to be said that Queeney's poor form of recent IMO is related to Joe not playing. The roles should have been reversed on Sat night. Joe and Queeney are a bit like GG and Ollie Murphy where one compliments the other. Joe is a good kicker of the ball and will play in in first time. Some of the Meath players can't kick the ball 30~40 yards hence I cringe when I see Cormac McGuiness taking frees around the half back/midfield area's. McGuiness is a good player with a great engine but in all honest can't kick any distance or accuratly. Diego (Meath) - Posts: 1210 - 08/03/2010 13:22:32 581950 Link 0 |

Certain games will suit Joe at FF more than Jamie but if we are looking for someone to play FF in Croke Park then Jamie is the obvious choice with Joe at CF. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 08/03/2010 13:58:55 581997 Link 0 |

Diego, I think Queeney's recent dip in form has more to do with how predictable our tactics are becoming. The dogs in the street know we're going to play the long-ball more often then not so they just put a half-back in coverage in front of the D. Mayo used Heaney in a similar fashion last year when we didn't even have a big full-forward line and Down beat us using similar tactics two weeks ago.
