Not 100% but i think the semi's are between Kiltale and Kildalkey and Dunboyne Kilmessan. Tough one's to call Kiltale have to prove that last year wasn't a fluke, Kildalkey have to loose the nearly men tag as do Dunboyne and are Kilmessan a team in decline???

I have to agree on this one about Kilmessan, they're flying, seen them against Kildalkey, held them to four points from play.

looking forward to the semi finals this weekend. They should have the makings of great games. In the first i think kilmessan will have too much for dunboyne allthough kilmessan have choked alot around this stage in the last few years. With clynch playing centre back though i see them as being very hard to beat. If you can keep hackett queit for dunboyne then they will be in trouble but if has a good day there could be an upset on the cards.

The second game is almost impossible to call and both teams have being going fairly well but the football could be a disadvantage to kiltale so kildalkey might just have the edge. I see enda keogh was moved back to ddefence against o mahonys and this should strenghten their cause and geoghan should help kirby get the scores up front if they can get by the donoghue brothers. i think kildalkey will take this one and lets hope for a great days hurling in navan on sunday.

I agree, I hope there's good fare on shop on Sunday.

Its hard to call between Kildalkey and Kiltale. I think that Kiltale might have the edge with Durnin, Sheridan and O'Sullican in the inside forwards. The three of them will cause problems for the full back line of Kildalkey. Kildalkey are strong in the half back and midfield area, stop the ball here and you might stop the supply. They've a rake of good forwards up front, which against any other team besides Kiltale might be a bad thing but you need to be able to stop the Donoghue brothers lobbin good ball into their forwards. Interesting match up, Kiltale by less than 3 points.

Kilmessan look like clearer winners against Dunboyne. They've be mean in their back line all year, especially against Kildalkey, who look like real contenders. They're strong down the middle of the field of Brennan, Donnelly, Clynch, O'Neill, Horan, O'Neill and Reynolds, apart from the latter thats 6 of the counties best hurlers in the county. If Dunboyne have any chance of upsetting Kilmessans favourites tag they must use the ball wisely and keep it wide, where, in fairness, Kilmessan do carry a few players. Dunboyne struggled in the group stages, but have shown some signs of improvement, and their 'back-door' run may end up standing to them as Kilmessan have had quite a wait for this game since the group stages. They should have enough though. Kilmessan by 3-6 points.

Dont know where you are getting Kilmessan have passengers on the wings. McGovern, Donnelly, Reilly, 3 Keenas, N Horan, Farrell, Doyle. Think most teams would be glad of them? Kildalkey dont seem to have great forwards. Alot of backs playing as forwards. Kilmessan Kiltale final. Kilmessan to win. Lookong forward to the weekend. Should be good as the best 4 teams are left to fight it out.

Reilly, McGovern, Donnelly, backs with limited hurling, in my opinion, but I'm only judging them against the high standard of hurler found elsewhere in their backs/midfield. Mal Doyle and Kev Keena, possibly wouldn't start on a few senior teams in the county. They've enough to go through I'd say anyway.

On another note...I see where hurling club delegates have failed to rally together to support TJ Reilly, the football delegates probably only to happy to see hurling down a peg...

Kilmessan - Dunboyne. Dunboyne might cause a upset. They are dogged and if they got a run at Kilmessan you might be surprised. Then again Kilmessan are quitely working away and have a lot to prove to themselves from last year. So Kilmessan by 3 points.

Kiltale v Kildalkey - Interesting. Same level and Kildalkey will want to prove they should have been Kiltale last year. Kiltale because of the Moynalvey win may struggle but then again they were in the same boat last year when Moynalvey were beaten. They had a extra week to recover that is the only differences. So I think a draw.

Hopefully it will be a good day for hurling because hurling needs it

Went along to see the hurling yesterday and although i knew they would be tight games i didnt think Kilmessan would win by so much, they seemed to have an extra gear and will now be raging hot favourites and as for kildalkey does anyone think that by moynalvey winning the junior football this has a big effect on lads fitness becuase they seemed to wilt in the last 10 minutes , those few days on the beer seems to have cost the hurlers big

Senior hurling final this sunday and i cant wait. Great to see that the two best teams in the county there on the big day and should make for a great game for the neutral. Both teams are going to be mad for it as kilmessan are hurting after last year and kildalkey havnt won it in over 50 years. Personally it think kilmessan possess the better hurlers and the hurt from losing last year will drive them on over the line to win by a very small margin.

Yeah should be a good game as both sides will be well motivated - Kilmessan will want to win after last year's loss and Kildalkey haven't won in ages. Saying that, Kilmessan have the better players and their quality should see them through.

On championship form you would have to go with Kilmessan but i saw both semi finals and i dont think the kildalkey full back will give anto as much time or space as the dunboyne guy did. I think kildalkey will put up one hell of a fight and wouldnt be surprised if they come out on top. Heard George o Connor was in Kilmessan last night. What is the curtain raiser for the final.

Smallballfan, the curtain-raiser is Gael Colmcille's Leinster JFC match against an Offaly team.

Should be a good SHC final. Saw both seim-finals and some of the quarterfinals also. Kildalkey are improving. They held it together against Kiltale when Kiltale looked like they were coming back. They can thank there goalie for keeping them in it. You would just wonder if any of the 3 goals that were saved by Kildalkey goalie if they had gone in would Kildalkey have survived. I do think the Kiltale hurlers wilted in the last 10mins and I do agree I think the Moynalvey win did catch up on them. Kildalkey can't miss any free's either.

Kilmessan had nothing to worry about with Dunboyne and I don't think A O'Neill will every get that much room again. They have great hurlers but they had them last year also and unless they all click on the day Kilmessan maybe left wanting. They don't depend on Nicky any more so they have some good forwads and a good back line.

Kildalkey wanted to beat Kiltale so there game was up for that and Kilmessan only wanted Kiltale in the final after last year. So now Kiltale are gone and it is just the two of them and they hymn book is different. Should be interesting but I say Kilmessan and only by 2 points.
