Mayo's Conor Mortimer
Mayo forward Conor Mortimer is eager to link up with his new club mates at Parnells.

Although, Mortimer admitted that he will miss lining out alongside his family and friends at Shrule/Glencorrib, he stressed to the Western People that the move was more to do with work than football.

The Mayo forward has secured a transfer to Dublin club team Parnells where he will line out next year and he played his last game for Shrule/Glencorrib in a league outing against Crossmolina that finished all square and preserved the former's status in division 1.

"I'll miss the lads here surely and I've had great times here, but it isn't just about football these days. I've been sitting at home twiddling my thumbs for the last six months and in Dublin I have a job just down the road from where I will be living," said Mortimer.

"Parnells are a good club. They're making a lot of progress and I'm looking forward to getting involved there."
