Kerry GAA is mourning the death of Eddie Walsh, who is considered to be one of the greatest players the county has ever produced. Aged 92, Walsh won five All-Ireland medals in 1937, '39, '40. '41 and '46, and eight Munster championships with the Kingdom. The Knocknagoshel man also won Railway Cup medals with Munster in 1941 and '46. A star half back, Walsh also played in the famous 1947 All-Ireland final between Kerry and Cavan in the Polo Grounds in New York. May he rest in peace.
