So dominant were they Connaught men that they registered 2 goals 9 points from Adrian Murphy, Garry Falllon, Naos Connaghton, Gerry Fallon, John Moran, without a reply from their Fermanagh hosts until just moments before half time, when veteran Erneside defender Fergus Bannon registered his first scores in his intercounty hurling career, which spans over a decade. Completing the attempted Fermanagh scoring figthback Ernesider midfielder Ryan Bogue pointed from a free. However they Erneside first half hero was Mark Curry firmly ensconced between they Fermanagh posts. Though conceding two goals to the Roscommon attack, it was his specular saves that had they attentive spectators appreciating his goal keeping ability's at the match's half time. One timely save was when the Rossi's attempted to copperfasten their scoring dominance mid-way through the games' opening half. Roscommon's lethal full forward Naos Connaghton, who had moments earlier had burst through valiantly determined Erneside defence, and all he had to do was slide the slithor pass the seemly hapless Fermanagh goal keeper Mark Curry. However they Connacht man wasn't counting on the forensic goal keeping skills of the heroic Ernesider, who then parried away the ball safely down field. However within moments and until the beginning of the fourth quarter they Roscommon men resumed normal service, when they fired, clipped, popped and pucked over an additional 7 points from Gerry Fallon, Naos Connaghton, Robbie Fallon and Gerry Fallon, Bringing their mid second half total 2 goals 16 points. Then it was the turn of the never say die Fermanagh right half back Fergus Bannon, who strode into his opponents defence, with slithor in hand to claim his third and final magnificent final score, and bringing his side's modest scoring to a total of 5 points. With the fourth quarter well entered, and visitors Roscommon fully in control, who now used the occasion to replace their key players, with hurlers from bench.
