The Senior Footballers played Downpatrick on Friday winning by double scores 2-14 to 2-7. Once again an Riocht kept their best form for Dunavil, early points from Noel McArdle and Deaglan Morgan were soon followed by a fifth minute Martin Clarke goal. Though Hoops responded with the next score, a Neil Cunningham point, their shooting was way off and An Riocht moved ten points clear by the twentieth minute with a string of excellent long range points. Then Downpatrick struck on the counter for a well taken goal finished home from an acute angle by corner back Gavin Grant and when they added a point a revival looked on. However, An Riocht settled and finished the half with three unanswered points to lead at the break 1-11 to 1-2.
A flurry of frees on the restart left An Riocht still eight to the good before Martin Clarke passed to the top corner for his second goal and if it wasn't already now it was definitely game over.
An Riocht: Brendan McVeigh, Michael Clarke, John O'Rourke, Liam McVeigh, Aidan Sloan, Paul Allen, Conor Doyle, James Cunningham, Ronan McAlinden 0-3 (1f), Conor Cole 0-2, Martin Clarke 2-2 (2f), Deaglan Morgan 0-2, Sean Clarke, Noel McArdle 0-3, Rory Cunningham 0-2.
Subs: Stephen McVeigh, Brian Rodgers, Michael O'Rourke.

The Reserve Footballers beat Annaclone at Dunavil in a closely contested affair, 1-13 to 1-11. In a nip and tuck opening quarter a Michael Harper goal gave An Riocht a 1-3 to 0-4 advantage but other chances went a begging and the visitors were on level terms by the twenty fifth minute and went on to take a 1-8 to 1-4 lead into the half time break. Their good form continued on the restart and they extended their lead out to six points; given the home teams previous wastefulness it looked too big a gap to claw back. Then Ronan Foley pointed to signal the start of an uninterrupted eight-point spree headlined by the move of Michael Harper to the edge of the square and he won high ball and pointed on the turn three times in quick succession. A missed penalty denied An Riocht the opportunity to stretch their lead to a winning position and Annaclone pointed some twenty minutes after their last score to leave the result on a knife edge until Conor Morgan dispossessed a defender and set up Michael O'Rourke for the insurance score. That's seven wins from seven starts as the league reaches the half way stage with our next match in Liatroim on 22nd May.
Team: Stephen Doran 0-2 (2f), Marc Rooney, Christopher Mulligan, Joe McCartan, Stephen McVeigh, Aidan O'Hanlon, Dane Mathews 0-1, Brian Rodgers, Michael Harper 1-3, Aidan McVeigh, Michael O'Rourke 0-3, Stephen McDowell 0-1, Sean McArdle, Brian Sloan, Ronan Foley 0-1.
Subs: Conor Morgan, Deaglan Morgan, Conor Cole 0-2.

The Minor Footballers match with Clann Na Gael was postponed.
The U16 Footballers played Eire Og in Ballymartin, both sides mustered fifteen players and played them all from the start with the home side reversing the earlier result winning on a 6-6 to 1-9 score line. Play swung end to end with both teams shooting a large amount of wides and An Riocht also hit the bar and post while John Joe Eakins took a goal bound shot off the line. It was one nil to An Riocht after fifteen minutes before Eire Og goaled and went on lead by five at the break, 2-2 to 0-3. The home side goaled on the restart and again after we had pointed a penalty. At 4-6 to 0-4 behind Ronan Campbell, who had made some magnificent high catches, flicked an Eoin Sloan forty-five to the net and we added five points to leave six between the teams before Eire Og goaled twice late on to secure the win.
Team: Curtis Flanagan, John Joe Eakins, Ryan Mackey, Ethan Wright, Dylan Nugent 0-1, Philip Curran, Joel Cunningham, Ronan Campbell 1-1, Christopher Flanagan 0-3, Cormac Clarke 0-1, Caomhan Campbell, Jack Rodgers, Reece Flanagan, Eoin Sloan 0-3, Ross Colgan.

The U14 Footballers played Tullylish at Dunavil winning 4-11 to 2-1 after an entertaining hours football. Play was end to end but the home side made much better use of possession and were excellent at turning defence into attack; some of the passages of play from both sides augur well for the future. As always everyone got game time.
Team: Curtis Flanagan, William Harper, Ryan Mackey, Ryan Cunningham, Cameron Harper, Dylan Nugent, Eoin Killen, Cormac Clarke, Reece Flanagan, Michael Greenan, Jack Rodgers, Shane Quinn, Ross Colgan, Aidan Gribben, Jerry Lee McVeigh. Subs: Lorcan Donnan, Ryan Quinn, Ben Matthews, Matthew McCartan, Mark McVeigh.

The Senior Camogs beat Liatroim at Fontenoy Park by 3-6 to 1-9. An Riocht played with a strong wind in the first half and settled well, Tierna Donnan found the net from close range before Aine Fearon added a few frees and Emma Jane Magee bagged our second goal as we led at halftime by 2-3 to 0-2. Laitroim were strong up the middle with several ex county players and with the wind behind them shot some long range points to close the gap. Tierna Donnan added her second goal after a great high catch and Patrice Matthews pointed after a good run, being unfortunate not to have found the net. Liatroim kept coming, we dropped Aine Fearon back to protect the goal and when Liatroim were awarded a penalty, Joanna Sloan made a brilliant save and cleared her lines. Liatroim then goaled from a twenty metre free with the very last puck of the ball. Nicole Kelly did a brilliant marking job on Tin Mc Crickard, Tierna Donnan was very good as was the hard working Orla Mc Alinden.
