Our 2 nd County Final Ever.,, I fear cavan will have another fruitless year.I rem talking to a county selector & asking him on denns chances against castlerahan & going on to the final.he just smirked & did nt even consider an answer how id love to meet him now. Dedication i look at the papers last week & see n walsh collecting an award..As far as im concerned it was the same award that cost us a place in county final. Now this week i see hannon racing a greyhound three weeks before i seen Mackey stripping in a barn somewhere. I ask would you see Eoin Smith Killygarry .martin cahill i don t think so.Like the people should really look at the problem here. The whole county board & management & team are on some Ego Bus to Div 4 in my opinion I think unless walsh has a good senior final he shoul go.I think hannon & fannin is the new ant & dec...... Get some steel into the panel some real men get a bitta passion like the Denn team.Long time i ve been saying mouse is better than mackey frank better than flanagan & Ronoan & mossy better than ciaran galligan & co... Albeit these lads are younger but college kids wont win ulster... Denn Man (Cavan) - Posts: 413 - 25/09/2009 10:23:49 436070 Link 0 |
Agree with some of Denn mans points. Eoin Smith, Martin Cahill, Mark McKeever are a must on the starting 15. Eoin McPhilips and Ciaran Mcgovern are also worth a go. Fannin, Mackey, Hannon and P Reilly had had lots of chances and should go. Jack15 (Cavan) - Posts: 91 - 25/09/2009 11:07:52 436108 Link 0 |

I would love nothing better than to see our lads leave the county panel and be available for the club all the time. Don't undestand why you are still obsessed with Castlerahan's players I can assure you if Castlerahan were in Denn's position I wouldn't be talking about Denn at this stage. rahanman (Cavan) - Posts: 127 - 25/09/2009 12:14:02 436208 Link 0 |

Why thank you Finea 3... But unlike most posters here i try to keep an open mind to football.Well done Lavey good to see Cootehill competing. We need football in those areas again.Anyway id like everybodys opinion on Denns chances. Was last year a fluke, are the geals gona steam us & win Ulster.Which if they do id sincerely like them to win it if thats the case. Will other clubs go to the game. Will the celt even recognoise us this year.last year was embarrassing the lack of player profile & pre match build up.Also can Denn leave the Ghost writer for the post redfaced Denn Man (Cavan) - Posts: 413 - 28/09/2009 12:26:06 438468 Link 0 |
i think denn need to get a little bit of luck if they are to topple the gaels this year..... an early goal or 2 maybe...... great committed team that play with a lot of passion but i just dont think they can outscore the gaels..... sean reilly a big loss as this will probably bring walsh to midfield where mossy will clean up on him....as a gaels supporter i dont want to see us beaten but if it does happen it would'nt be too bad because the denn lads are all good lads.....best of luck to all... macdaddy (Cavan) - Posts: 40 - 28/09/2009 12:58:19 438524 Link 0 |
they need to play football this year,15 men behind the ball last year, you'l never win a game like that. Mclovinxxx (Cavan) - Posts: 205 - 28/09/2009 18:26:01 438995 Link 0 |
I don't think Denn will beat the Gaels in the final as the Gaels have far too much in the line of good footballing ability to be unsettled by Denn (whatever tactics they employ or whoever they have training them - is it true that they had Jack O Connor and Martin McHugh training them on Sunday morning?) But they may make the most of it, because once they drop down to the lower echelons of Division 2 league football next year, they will not be coming up against the opposition they will be facing in senior championship making their job that much more difficult. altares (Cavan) - Posts: 2 - 29/09/2009 11:48:04 439585 Link 0 |

jinky,id say its more about supporters looking for place to park.in mullahoran last week,20 mins before game started, most of the carpark was full on both sides.by the end of the game there was four lines of cars in the carpark and close to 50 cars around the hall and pitch.
