i thought the lads were outstanding today especially sean tobin who was the best player on the park by a mile...macarty should really consider him for the senior panel!! fair play to doon thou they hurled well and we deserving winners on the day,but i still tink this very young murroe boher team are a better team!! murroeboher08 (Limerick) - Posts: 2 - 27/10/2008 19:53:07 127495 Link 0 |
He was quiet in the 2nd half when the going got tough.. He is far too young and inexperienced to make the senior panel. I do believe he will make the u21 team though. He is a great prospect though.. and lets face it, this limk senior team lacks when it comes to top forwards. sidelineview08 (Limerick) - Posts: 75 - 29/10/2008 22:44:08 129358 Link 0 |

The game started at a very high intensity with Murrue being aided by a very strong wind. Both teams used the ball well in the opening mins with fine scoes by both side.. Doon were stronger mid way in the first half with well take goals from niall maher and the excellent michael ryan who contributed 2-4 to the doon side on the day. murrue did not give up with sheamus hickey driving at the doon defence with the point of the match. Also great wrist work was shown by sean tobin who get a few fine points. It was 2-3 to 0-08 at half time. However Doon took full advantage of the breeze in the 2nd half and when michael's goal volleyed into the top corner with 10 mins remaining there was no comback for murrue. The doon defence stood firm with excellent perfomances from morgan crowe and mark fenton in which murrue only scoed 2 points in the 2nd half. Doon won the game by 11 points. This was their 5th east limk title in a row sidelineview08 (Limerick) - Posts: 75 - 31/10/2008 11:30:27 130688 Link 0 |
