Bailieboro had a good win over Swanlinbar in Killygarry.
Senior Team progress to quarter final

Bailieboro 2-10
Swanlinbar 1-9

Well done to the senior team who defeated a fancied Swanlinbar team in the first round of the Intermediate championship on Sunday last in Killygarry on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1- 9. The Shamrocks were an unknown quantity coming into the game whilst Swanlinbar had the benefit of two championship clashes against Butlersbridge. Bailieborough got off to a great start with an early goal from Niall Comey which did a lot to settle their nerves. However parity was restored a few minutes later when Mark Cunningham side footed the ball to the net. With the aid of the breeze Swad pushed on but to their credit the Shamrocks rearguard held firm and later in the half Senan O' Reilly scored a goal with a well placed shot to leave Bailieborough in the lead at half time by 3 points.

Swad who had Gearoid Mc Kiernan operating on the square at this stage threw everything at them at the start of the second half, however Bailieborough kept their composure and held out for a morale boosting win. We now await the outcome of the play offs and the draw for the next round.

Meanwhile it is back to work on Tuesday night for training before the upcoming Reserve Championship game against Cuchulainns this weekend.

Under 16s
Following some good results in the league section of this competition Bailieborough found themselves in a play off situation with Cornafean and West Cavan Gaels over the Bank Holiday weekend. Short a number of key players they lost to Cornafean on Thursday night and also to West Cavan Gaels on Monday. Regrettably this competition is played in the peak of the holiday season when a number of players are away on holiday and having trained all year miss out on the most exciting games. This is also very frustrating for mentors having to field without key players.

Minors
The minors have been drawn to play neighbours O'Raghallaigh Gaels in the first round of the championship. There is still some uncertainty as to the date of this game owing to a number of complications - see fixtures for details.

Club Fundraising Draw
The Club Finance committee have postponed the 0- 2000 Draw for a number of weeks to maximise ticket sales. The tickets range in price from 1 cent to 20 euros and are available from committee members. Proceeds are in aid of the club facilities so make sure to support this important cause.
