North Cork GAA honours Paddy Dineen

Paddy Dineen, the octogenarian Kilshannig clubman, was inducted into the North Cork GAA's Hall of Fame at the annual social event in Mallow recently.

Paddy, who turned 82 this year, played for the Kilshannig club for 20 years and served divisional side Avondhu as a selector.

The Man of the Match awards from the various county finals were also handed out on the night, with Dave Pyne (Harbour Rovers), Chris Kenny (Kilworth), Dave Dineen (Mitchelstown), Danny O'Flynn (Rathluirc) and Tadhg Healy (Buttevant) among the recipients.

Retired officer board members Patsy O'Mahony and Michael Beecher, of the Kilworth and Ballyhooly clubs respectively, received presentations at the event, which took place at the Hibernian Hotel in Mallow.
