Lotto Results
The numbers drawn for the week ending 8/8/17 were 2-5-21-29, there was no Jackpot winner. €25 Winners; Big John (Belville), Niall O'Reilly (Cavan Road), Jo Kane, Tom Smith (Foxfield Kilnaleck) The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end of the month was Raymond Smith. Next week's Jackpot is €3'100. Tickets can be bought in any local establishment


Senior Championship
Ballinagh suffered their second lost of the championship at the hands of Castlerahan on Sunday on a scoreline of  1-11 to 1-6. After being drawn against Mullahoran in the final round, we now face a must win situation to be in with any chance of reaching a quarter final spot. It was decided there will be a round of league fixtures this coming weekend with the final round of championship fixtures taking place the weekend of the 26th, and 27th.At the end of the four rounds of fixtures a league table will be drawn up with the 14 competing teams in the senior championship. The top 8 teams will qualify for the quarter final with the team finishing 1st playing the team finishing 8th, the team finishing 2nd playing the team finishing 7th etc. The bottom six teams will go into a relegation playoff with three teams to be relegated. There will be three single games with the loser of each relegated to Intermediate for 2018 bringing the number of senior championship teams down to 12 for 2018.

 

 

Camogie

Congratulations to Ballinagh Camogie girls on their big win over Bailieborough in the championship semi final on Friday. The ladies won 2-15 to 0-4 to progress to the final for the second year in a row, this time against Kill.

RIP Rosin Woods

The death has occurred of Roisín WOODS (née Donohoe)Ashgrove, Ballinagh, Cavan. Beloved wife of Aidan and devoted mother to Sharon, Aisling and Garry. Rosin was a predominant member of the Ballinagh community and her son Garry played football for Ballinagh the whole way up through underage as far as senior level. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Woods and Donohoe families at this time. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam

It is a huge honour to represent your county and we are all extremely proud that Cormac will do so in the sacred grounds of the GAA in Dublin.
