County Minors 

Cavan minors play Kerry in the all-Ireland semi final in Croke Park on Sunday August 20th. Good luck to John Brady and his panel, including Paddy Meade and Shane Duffy!     

Congratulations 

Well done to Tyrone native, and one of our juvenile coaches, Kevin Shiels, who completed the Ironman Triathlon in Hamburg at the weekend in 11hrs 24mins. A huge achievement! 

Collection 

The club will take up the collection for Crumlin Children's Hospital at all Masses next week. Please give generously. 

Seniors     

Good win for our seniors in round 3 of the championship V Gowna in Dolan Park last Sunday, Kingscourt 3-16 Gowna 2-12. The game was held up for a lengthy period in the first half due to an injury to Gowna's corner back, David Phillips. We wish him a speedy recovery. We now play Killygarry in rd 4, but this game will not take place until the weekend of August 25th.  The Reserve championship quarter final V Lacken did not go Kingscourt's way last Wednesday, ending up Kingscourt 3-09 Lacken 2-16. The better team won on the evening. Thanks to the Lacken Club for the hospitality after the game, and the best of luck to them in the rest of the championship! 

Juveniles            

 Under 16s recorded a good win against Killinkere last Thursday, Kingscourt 5.09 Killinkere 4.09! The club wish John Oates {U-16 player} a speedy recovery following his injury last week and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped John on the field in Killeshandra on the evening. Next game V Belturbet next Thursday at home. Our minors will play Lough Uachtar Gaels in the first round of the minor B championship on Tuesday August 22nd at 7.30pm away. Best of luck to them in their campaign. Training for under 6 and 8's on Juvenile pitch every Saturday morning at 10am sharp, all children are welcome and any parents willing to help coach also welcome.  Remember gum shields are obligatory! Our club asks parents to encourage their children to partake in training and games and to support our juveniles by attending matches and supporting the players and opponents.   

Championship Game 

Thanks to all the committee members who helped out last Saturday for the Cootehill V Cúchulainns  game. The game finished Cúchulainns 3-10 Cootehill 2-11 

 Lotto

Under 6/8/10; A few more games lined up during August for these groups before we get back to full action again in September. Under 12; Preparations in full swing for the Monaghan U12 league final coming up. Under 14; The first round of the Cavan U14 Championship is scheduled for next Monday 21st August Under 16; A home league game on Monday v Cootehill in Kingscourt at 7.
