Club championship draws

The draws for the 2016 Cavan club championships were made on Monday night.
The draws for the Cavan club championships were made at last night's monthly county board meeting, throwing up some intriguing clashes this summer.
In the senior championship, last year's winners Kingscourt Stars have been drawn into Group 2 along with Killeshandra, while beaten finalists will Castlerahan will take on intermediate champions Ballyhaise in the opening round of Group 3. Cavan Gaels join Lacken in Group 1, while Group 4 looks a tough proposition with two recent champions in Mullahoran and Ballinagh joining Ramor United.
Drumalee's return to the intermediate ranks sees them taking on Butlersbridge in their opener, while junior champions Templeport have drawn Drung in the first round.
In the junior section, last year's beaten finalists Cornafean face a tricky test against Ballymachugh and there's also a derby out east with Mountnugent and Munterconnacht squaring off in Round One.
