Denn GFC
Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 5th October. The winning numbers were 2,3,6,22. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Linda Galligan Pullakeel, Killian Smith Clonlohan, Caroline McDowell Cavan, David & Mark Fegan, Carmel Sherry Drumavaddy. The next draw will be on Monday 12th October in The Crosskeys Inn. Jackpot is now €11,400.
Minor C Championship
Congratulations to the Denn minor team who won the Minor C Championship Final on Sunday last in Kingspan Breffni Park, defeating neighbours Ballinagh in a closely fought contest on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-12. Well done to the all the players and the management team. Their hard work and dedication all year has been rewarded.
Under 14 Championship
Denn lost to Bailieborough in the fourth round of the Under 14 Championship on Saturday last on a scoreline of 3-13 to 4-9. They face Belturbet in Round 5 on Saturday 10th October at 2pm in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys.
Couch to Christmas
Denn GAA Juvenile Football Club are having a Couch to Christmas, Couch to 5K. There is a personal trainer onsite. Classes every Tuesday and Thursday night from 8pm - 9pm. Everyone welcome - all ages, walkers, joggers, runners. The cost is just membership and E2 per session.
ACFL
The Final Round of the ACFL (Rd 9) v Cuchullainns will be played on Sunday, Oct 18th at 2.30pm.
SOSAD Cavan
SOSAD Cavan will host a series of talks delivered by clinical psychologists in October and November in the Farnham Arms Hotel. On Thursday, 8th October at 7pm, Dr. Eoin Galavan will give a talk on suicide. On Tuesday, 3rd November at 7pm, Dr. Paul Gaffney will deliver a talk on suicide bereavement and on Thursday, 12th November at 7pm Dr. Tony Humphreys will discuss teen and adult depression. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission to all talks is free. The Cavan county board Health and Wellbeing Seminar takes place on Saturday, 14th November from 9:30am to 2pm in the Hotel Kilmore.
