Munster Intermediate Camogie Final
Waterford 1-5 Cork 1-8
Waterfords Intermediate camogie Team played Cork on Saturday evening last June 2nd in the Munster Intermediate Camogie final in Tipperary's camogie Grounds at the Ragg just outside Thurles. Waterford entered this final with a very depleted team to the one that played in the All Ireland League, with many players missing due to exams and work commitments. However! the girls displayed some fine camogie on the day and did not let the side down.
Waterford were first to register on the score board with two points courtesy of Waterford wing forward Shona Curran, but Cork kept the pressure on with some fine camogie being displayed on the day, both teams very evenly matched with the half time score reading Waterford 0-5 Cork 1-3. The second half began with Cork scoring the first two points of the half but it was Cork who dominated for most of the half until Waterford selectors made some substitutions and positional changes in the final twenty minutes of the game that made a difference in the Waterford set up.Some questionable frees on Corks behalf and their goal was the difference in the end leaving the score line Waterford 1-5 Cork !-8. Cork were crowned Munster Intermediate champions 2012.

U14 Inter-County Blitz
The Waterford U14 County development squad played their first blitz of the season in the immaculate GAA grounds in Mallow. In their group the girls played Cork, Wexford, Limerick and Dublin. They were very unlucky not to win their group to play in the grand final of the the day as they beat Wexford, Limerick and Dublin and were unlucky not to beat Cork in the first game of the day as they were two points up in the dying minutes of the game but Cork got a last minute goal resulting in they winning the game by one point. Cork drew with Dublin in their game resulting that Cork won the group thus qualifying them for the final just by one point.Waterford selectors Joey, Shane and Breda gained allot of knowledge from the day and learned allot about the girls and were delighted with the result.Everyone enjoyed the day and each girl got two full games which gave everyone great experience. Its back to training for the girls on Saturday next June 9th when its academy day in Carraiganore at 10 0'clock.
