Rigney expects tough clash

Laois manager Niall Rigney
It's all or nothing for Laois as they prepare to face Christy Ring Cup champions Carlow in the relegation play-off at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday afternoon. Last weekend, the Barrowsiders booked their place in the play off final thanks to a three-point win over Westmeath after extra-time and they will go into this match full of confidence. Rigney knows that Carlow will provide a stern test for the O'Moore, and he stressed that Laois will be giving their opponents the utmost respect. "They hurled really well against Westmeath and they had 3-18 scored at the end of normal time, and halfway through the second half they were ten points up," said Rigney. "Laois played them in a practice match a few weeks before Damien Fox stepped down and Carlow won, so we won't be taking them lightly."
