Kelly recalled to Tipp squad
July 18, 2008

Paul Kelly
Former All-Star Paul Kelly has been dramatically recalled to the Tipperary hurling squad ahead of next month's All-Ireland semi-final.
Kelly, who recently switched club allegiances from Mullinahone to O'Loughlin Gaels in Kilkenny, hasn't featured for the Premier County since rupturing a leg quad muscle in last year's NHL quarter-final against Waterford. But having putting his injury nightmare behind him and regained some of the form of old, Tipp manager Liam Sheedy has offered him the chance to revive his inter-county career.
The double All-Star, who watched as his brother Eoin skippered Tipp to National League and provincial crowns in recent months, will join the squad in training next Tuesday night and his returns give the management extra options in both defence and attack.
Kelly will fill the void left by Boherlahan-Dulla's Darragh Hickey, who recently opted off the panel.
