SFC throws up interesting clashes

July 03, 2008
A full round of the senior football championship will be played over the coming days as Tyrone Gaels follow the fortunes of their teams as they bid to be crowned county champions. The action gets underway from Thursday evening when Carrickmore hosts a double header with Donaghmore playing Killyclogher and this will be followed by the meeting of Clonoe and Errigal Ciaran. Donaghmore and Clonoe are tipped to win these respective matches, but both are expected to be very close games indeed that could very well go to the wire. Two more games will be played on Friday evening as Killyman meet Coalisland and county champions Dromore face Omagh in what is arguably the clash of the round. The first game is scheduled for Dungannon, while Trillick will be the venue for the second game of the evening. On Sunday there will be four matches down for decision as Pomeroy will facilitate the match between Kildress and Galbally and this will be followed by the battle between Eglish and Cookstown. GAA fans will barely have time to catch their breath as the remaining two matches of the weekend will be played at Killyclogher. In the first game Aghyaran take on Ardboe and then Loughmacrory take on the mighty Carrickmore.
