Edward Dalton Lisbellaw March On to Semi-final.
In a comprehensive defeat of their Mullahoran county Cavan opponents in which the match's winners Lisbellaw were never seriously challenged in this largely low key game. The St Patrick's, this games favourites, ran out easy winners with a scoring margin of a massive 3 goals 4 points. As in all field games goals win matches and no more is it illustrated than by the three goal volley fired in by Lisbellaw's centre half forward Karl Kehoe. Though this game was not one entirely of St Patrick's dominance, as on the match's resumption the determined Mullahoran forwards repeatedly attack the Lisbellaw fortress style defence which was ably lead by their goal keeper Peter McEvoy, who with his left half back Mathew Teague repeatedly repelled St Joseph forays into the St Patrick's defences. Lisbellaw now march on to the semi-final of the Division 4 of the Ulster Club Senior Hurling League of 2008.
