Kilkenny's Jackie Tyrell
Speculation that Kilkenny defender Jackie Tyrrell may have broken his hand during a club match has proven wide of the mark as the former Cats' captain is in line to play against Waterford on Sunday. Kilkenny face the defending Munster champions at Walsh Park in a fundraising event and Tyrrell could well line out for the Cats if selected. The James Stephens' defender is in the form of his life at present and is crucial to Kilkenny's chance of claiming a coveted three-in-a-row All-Ireland titles. The news of Tyrrell being fit along with Henry Shefflin's long awaited comeback from injury is good news for Brian Cody and his management team as the prepare for the Leinster championship.
