Dublin hurling boss Tommy Naughton is sweating on the fitness of defender Philip Brennan ahead of Sunday week's Leinster SHC quarter-final against Westmeath at O'Moore Park. The O'Toole's clubman is struggling with a quad muscle injury and was forced to sit out Tuesday night's challenge match victory over Antrim in Dromintee, Co. Armagh. Dublin led by 1-14 to 1-10 at half-time with Kilmacud Crokes player James Burke getting their goal. The Dubs continued to hold the upper hand in the second half and eventually won by 1-26 to 2-20. Meanwhile, Westmeath captain Brendan Murtagh is refusing to play for The Downs in this weekend's county senior football championship as he claims the Dublin game is his only focus right now. "The players all sat down and came to the decision that we're all going in the one direction for hurling and that we aren't going to play the football. The Dublin game is what we have been training for all year," the classy centre forward said.
