Noel Garvan and Aidan Fennelly have become the latest high-profile Laois footballers to opt off the county panel ahead of the start of their Leinster championship campaign. Both players have been dogged by injury this season and their withdrawals is another crushing blow to manager Liam Kearns who has also lost the services of Brian 'Beano' McDonald in recent weeks. He said: "We have decided Noel Garvan and Aian Fennelly have gone back to their clubs because we were not happy with their injuries."
