'Rules age ban still on the agenda' - Brennan

The GAA may seek to include an agreement with the AFL on a ban on any recruitment of GAA players under the age of 19 when, and if, the International Rules series is ressurected.
According to GAA President Nickey Brennan, the issue of the ban is still very much on the agenda ahead of a debate on the International Rules' future at a Central Council meeting on March 17th.
"I raised the issue of the age profile being raised to 19, that nobody before 19 would go," Brennan explained.
"That is still on the agenda but we haven't put it down as a prerequisite if the series is to go ahead.
"That might be a prerequisite but I wouldn't want (anyone) to jump to a conclusion that I am saying that at this stage. It has been mentioned as one possible issue."
