Former Cork All-Ireland SHC medallist and www.hoganstand.com columist Tomas Mulcahy believes the Rebel County is split down the middle on ageist terms. The legend hurler reckons that the younger generation strongly back the players in their stance. "The view is split," said Mulcahy. The younger population are firmly behind the players. They are looking at the last five years and what the players have given and the success they have achieved. "The players are basing their actions on the standards they have set and they want to continue those standards. "There are a lot of personality clashes coming in which is very sad. Who is going to want that job after all of this? "When this is all resolved, imagine the pressure that will be on the players to perform.
