Alan Markham swinging hurl against Cork
Clare hurling bosses haven't ruled out the possibilty that experienced utility player Alan Markham will play with their county this year. The Kilmaley player is not part of new boss Tony Considine's current panel but it is unclear as to whether they will be available for selection. "Alan hasn't said he isn't coming back," said Clare official Des Crowe. "Tony Considine's panel is open-ended. The hurlers have had a couple of sessions and Alan hasn't been back. "He has been struggling with injury for club and county and definitely needs a bit of time to try and get over those injuries." There have been reports in the Banner County that Markham - plagued by injuries in recent times - may be considering quitting inter-county hurling.
