Ladbrokes 2006 GAA Top Scorers Championship Betting
April 25, 2006
Ladbrokes have just released their odds on the 2006 leading All-Ireland Football and Hurling championship scorers.
Heading the Football market is last season s winner, Stephen O'Neill of Tyrone at 6-4, with Kerry corner forward Colm 'Gooch' Cooper available to back at 5-1.
Some of the bigger prices on offer see Limerick sharp shooter Muiris Gavin at 33-1, while Kildare s ace forward John Doyle at 50-1 could also represent top value.
The All-Ireland Hurling championship market is predictably headed by last season's runaway winner Galway's Ger Farragher, at 6-4. The Castlegar ace put in a virtuoso performance in the 2005 championship when landing a total of 3 goals and 57 points. The 2004 winner Henry Shefflin is next best at 5-2,while two outsiders to keep an eye on might be might be Westmeath's Andy Mitchell, available at 16-1, and the impressive Mark Keane of Limerick at 20-1 .
