Ian Robertson moving upfield
Injuries have forced former Dublin star Ian Robertson to retire from intercounty football.
The Ballymun Kickhams man was an integral part of the Blues line-up under a succession of manager but his last outing for his county came in the 2004 championship.
A succession of injuries to his groin, ankle and knee has meant that Robertson's intercounty career has been hugely interrupted and the talented player has finally taken the decision to retire from the intercounty scene.
He was a member of Paul Caffrey's panel in 2005 but was unable to play any part in the NFL or championship action.
