John Divilly in the thick of the action
Twenty-eight year old John Divilly, an All-Ireland winner in 1998 when he playeded against Kildare, has received a call-up from new Lilywhite manager John Crofton to join the panel for the coming season.
Divilly is a full-time GAA coach in Leixlip and is also a selector with the Kildare minor team. The Galway man is one of 29 players summoned by the new manager to commence training for the 2006 National Football League. He ahs been in fine form during he championship with Leixlip, wearing the Number 6 jersey and his driving force and commitment would not have gone unnoticed by Crofton.
Playing for Galway in 1998, Divilly operated at centre-back and Crofton obviously fees that the defender has much to offer and his call-up will be watched with considerable interest.
