Roe losses his appetite

Former Wexford manager Pat Roe admits that he has lost his appetite for the game and has already moved to rule himself out of any managerial jobs that become vacant over the summer. Roe stepped down from his position with Wexford after their defeat to Monaghan in the All-Ireland qualifiers, having spent two years at the helm of the Yellowbellies. The Laois native has been linked with a number of jobs after he guided Wexford from the depths of Division 2 to this year's National football League final. However, Roe feels he needs time away from the job as the pressure increases on inter county managers, especially in the modern game. "Football management is a seven day a week job and I haven't got the appetite for it in the forthcoming year," said Roe. "I don't know how the likes of Mick O'Dwyer and Sean Boylan do it year after year, but I just couldn't."
