Walsh at centre back for Cats
February 17, 2005

Tommy Walsh
With Peter Barry unavailable due to his involvement with James Stephens in next month's All-Ireland club final, Tommy Walsh switches to centre back for Kilkenny's National Hurling League opener against Waterford in Walsh Park.
Despite his young age, Walsh has already played in a variety of positions for the Cats, including wing forward, corner back and wing back.
Manager Brian Cody has included three debutants in his side - John Tennyson at right corner back, Bryan Barry at midfield and Richie Power at right corner forward. DJ Carey is named among the subs.
Kilkenny (SH v Waterford): J McGarry; J Tennyson, N Hickey, J Ryall; M Kavanagh, T Walsh, JJ Delaney; D Lyng, B Barry; J Fitzpatrick, M Comerford, E Brennan; R Power, J Hoyne, H Shefflin.
