All 30 players who started the Tyrone V Monaghan All-Ireland SFC semi-final registered scores in this year’s championship.
The Red Hands secured passage to the final with a 1-13 to 0-15 victory over their neighbours at Croke Park on August 12th, with eight Tyrone men - Tiernan McCann, Frank Burns, Peter Harte, Colm Cavanagh, Niall Sludden, Cathal McShane, Lee Brennan and Connor McAliskey - on target on the day.
Amazingly, every other player from Mickey Harte’s starting team that day scored at some point during the 2018 championship. Corner back Michael McKernan and full back Ronan McNamee were amongst 13 different Tyrone men to raise flags against Roscommon, while man marker Padraig Hampsey clipped over a point in the first-round loss to Monaghan in Omagh on May 20th.
McNamee also got on the scoresheet in the Super 8s clash with Donegal, with Hampsey nailing two points in Ballybofey that day and goalkeeper Niall Morgan drilling over a free.
Meanwhile, Monaghan goalkeeper Rory Beggan was of course a regular scorer throughout the championship and Conor McManus shot the lights out again, but their full-back line of Kieran Duffy, Drew Wylie and Ryan Wylie all chipped in with points over the course of the summer season as did their half backs and midfielders.
For the record, here are the starting teams from last month’s semi-final:
