Mayo's Alan Dillon will be hoping his luckless streak in All-Ireland finals comes to an end this Sunday when they take on Dublin at Croke Park.
The Ballintubber man has lost out in all seven finals he has played to date between senior (4), minor (2) and U21 (1), and is certainly due a Celtic Cross, having had such an exceptional career in the green and red.
A member of the Mayo team since 2003, Dillion is the holder of eight Connacht SFC medals as well as two All Star awards, while also helping his club to three county championships.
While many argue the case for ex-centre-forward Ciaran McDonald, it seems that Dillion deserves an All-Ireland medal as much as any man in the Heather County.
The list of final heartbreak is:
All-Ireland SFC final - 2004, 2006, 2012, 2013
All-Ireland U21FC final - 2001
All-Ireland MFC final - 1999, 2000
