O'Sullivan: that was another lung buster

Composure was a key ingredient in Dublin's nail-biting victory over Kerry, according to Cian O'Sullivan.

The number six and his team-mates battled back from a five-point half-time deficit to keep their hopes of back-to-back Sam Maguire successes alive and, shortly after the final whistle, he told RTE's 'The Sunday Game': "This had memories of 2013 when we played in the semi-final.

"That was another lung buster and every time we play each other it's nip and tuck.

"That was a fantastic game out there, a fantastic game to play in and win and I'd say for the spectators as well a fantastic game to watch.

"We're glad to come out the right side of it. Trailing by five at half-time, we had a lot of work to do but we kept our composure, we showed some great resilience there in the second-half to crawl back into the lead and finish out the game.

"There was nothing between the two sides, I have to commend Kerry on a fantastic performance. For us it's such a massive relief to be in an All-Ireland final."

He added: "We conceded two sloppy goals in the first-half but we'll look back on the tape and see if we can improve on those little aspects but we're very happy with that win and that performance."
